Visitor Guidelines for Johnson Regional Medical Center
As of 07/14/2022:
Visitation guidelines will be re-evaluated based on the positivity rates of newly admitted patients.
Visitation hours for non-covid-19 patients and non-Geropsychiatric patients
Visitation hours are 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Visitors must be 16 or older (except siblings in Labor & Delivery)
ICU Visiting Hours
8 am – 1 pm
3 pm – 6 pm
8 pm – 9 pm
Medical Surgical/Intensive Care Units
Johnson Regional Medical Center Medical Surgical unit has 40 spacious, all private rooms to serve our patients. This includes 2 bariatric rooms to allow for the comfort and safety of all patients. Our Intensive Care Unit has 7 private rooms to help serve our patients who are more severely ill. Both programs offer nurses with many years of experience to provide you with the highest quality of care while you are here with us at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
Visitor Limitations
ICU
ICU patients are allowed 2 well visitors at a time. Visitors may switch out.
Medical and Surgical
Medical and Surgical patients are allowed 2 well visitors at a time. Visitors may switch out.
Inpatient Rehab
Visiting hours are from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and may have 2 well visitors at a time.
Surgery Department
2 well visitors per patient in the waiting area.
Outpatient
Services may be accompanied by one well visitor.
Geropsychiatric Unit
By appointment
Labor and Delivery
Labor and delivery patients may have 2 visitors in the delivery and 1 visitor overnight.
Siblings must remain in the Labor and Delivery rooms for the duration of the visit. Visitors may switch out after delivery.
Emergency Room: Non-Covid-19 Patients
Visiting hours: 24 hours a day.
2 well visitors at a time and visitors may switch out.
1 visitor may stay overnight.
End of life visitation will be available 24 hours a day with up to 4 visitors at the bedside at a time. Visitors may switch out.
A patient may have visitors plus a designated clergy member visiting at the same time.
