INTRODUCING DR BRYAN SMITH

Johnson Regional Medical Center is excited to introduce the newest member of its team, Dr. Bryan Smith!

Dr. Smith completed his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and then went on to earn his doctorate in physical therapy from Washington University in St. Louis.

After working as a physical therapist for some time, Dr. Smith decided to further his education to better serve his patients.

He completed his medical school training at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City and his orthopedic surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.

Dr. Smith also completed an orthopedic surgery sports medicine fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles. During this fellowship, he had the honor of serving as one of the team physicians for several UCLA sports teams and worked as an assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Dr. Smith has dedicated the past four years to serving as a full-time orthopedic surgeon at a community hospital, specializing in orthopedic sports medicine with a focus on arthroscopic techniques of the knee and shoulder. He divides his time evenly between sports medicine and general orthopedics, and is skilled in performing total knee, hip, and shoulder arthroplasty as well as managing fractures of all extremities. In addition, he served as a team physician for a local high school and as a clinical instructor for local medical school and residency programs. Dr Smith is now proud to serve patients in the Ortho Clinic at Johnson Regional Medical Center in Clarksville.
