Johnson Regional Medical Center (JRMC) Surgical Services features five surgical suites and an endoscopy suite. Labor and Delivery has its own dedicated cesarean suite for those requiring delivery via cesarean section. Things to know before surgery
- We will call you the day before with an arrival time, if no answer, we will attempt to leave a voicemail with arrival time and any instructions needed.
- Nothing to eat or drink after midnight.
- Take medications for blood pressure, heart, asthma, COPD, thyroid, or seizure.
- If you are a diabetic, please DO NOT TAKE any diabetic medications.
- Wear something comfortable and easy to get in and out of.
- Bring someone to drive you home afterwards.
- Children can bring a comfort item such as their favorite blanket, stuffed animal, or electronic device.
- The day of your surgery you will need to check in at Admissions.
